Writing your own bio is a tough old brief, hey? But those are my favourite, so let’s get cracking. In the last 12 years, I’ve managed to do a few things… Got 50,000 people to walk for a world without dementia and raised 10 million quid for the Alzheimer’s Society. Tried to solve Britain’s food poverty crisis on a production budget of ZERO POUNDS. Sparked a conversation on the gender pay gap with Campaign magazine. Flexed below-, through- and above-the-line. Mastered the art of thumb-stopping social, high-volume ECOM, and good old fashioned direct-response mailers (some of them were worth millions of pounds). Written tone of voice guides for BBC TV Licensing, the AA, Lipton and Kelly Deli. Penned websites for Laphroaig, OLIVER and more. Branded internal agencies and venture start-ups. Managed a team of six amazing writers as Head of Copy. Had a lot of LOLs and picked up awards along the way. Hang on, also found my husband on Tinder. Can’t be that bad at writing a bio then, can I? |
“Copywriting seems to be a lost art these days. Thankfully, however, in the likes of Fiona we still have there a few masters of the craft: Fiona’s ability to write in a brand’s tone of voice is second to none; each sentence she writes is weighted perfectly, like a well balanced knife - not too much, never too little; and every piece of copy is a thoughtfully structured argument. On top of all this talent, she is also a gifted conceptual thinker. I can’t recommend her highly enough. ”

“From the minute Fi walked into the agency she filled the place with fun and laughter. She is a constant bolt of positive energy. More importantly she is filled to the brim with talent. She's a wonderful writer and brilliant thinker. I can think of no agency in town that wouldn't be made better by having her there.”

“Fi is my go-to freelance copywriter. With her at the helm of writing, I know we’ll get to amazing solutions. She can nail any and every brief. She's fast, gives at least three legit routes. Her copy is simply the best in class.”

“There are many wonderfully talented people in this business. Fiona is obvs one of them, but what makes her super special is that she puts herself into her work. I’ve seen this first hand when we worked on a project for Alzheimer’s Society. It was such an honour to share that with her. Like I say. Special.”
